ANTHONY BLOOM Anthony Bloom is an international investor and consultant based in London, England, and provides investment advice to RIT Capital Partners plc (the quoted investment trust chaired by Lord Rothschild) of which company he was a director from 1987 to 2001. Prior to emigrating from South Africa to England in 1988, he was Chairman and Chief Executive of The Premier Group, a company quoted on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, which was a multi-billion dollar conglomerate involved in agri-business, retail and consumer industries. He presently holds a number of directorships in a variety of companies, including some non-competitive companies in the power industry. Mr Bloom holds the degrees of Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Law from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, Master of Law from the Harvard Law School and was a Sloan Fellow at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. In 2002 he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Law (H.C.) by the University of the Witwatersrand.
