(Download PDF version)
VANCOUVER, B.C., May 14, 2009 – Xantrex Technology Inc. (a subsidiary of Schneider Electric) and Duracell® introduce the new Duracell 2 Amp Battery Maintainer designed for power sports vehicles.
The Duracell 2 Amp Battery Maintainer offers three-stage charging in a compact design for motorcycles, snowmobiles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), lawn tractors, personal watercraft, and other power sports equipment. This 2 amp maintainer is the ideal power level to charge and maintain the small batteries used for these types of vehicles. The Duracell 2 Amp Battery Maintainer properly maintains and extends the life of the vehicle battery, ensuring that the battery is not over- or undercharged while a power vehicle is in storage. The maintainer has reverse polarity protection and it comes with three easy connection options: it has battery rings that can connect directly to the battery terminals, battery clips that can also connect to the battery terminals, and a separate plug that can connect to the vehicle’s direct current (DC) socket.
“We are reaching an important new market with this product,” said Lawrence Neill, Senior Director of Mobile Sales for Xantrex Technology Inc. “The power sports market needs a compact charger to ensure that expensive batteries are charged and maintained. This product meets that need.”
The Duracell 2 Amp Battery Maintainer is available at select mass and specialty retail stores, and online at www.Amazon.com. To learn about the full line of Duracell power products, visit www.duracellpower.com.
