Xantrex Technology Inc. Announces Director Resignation

VANCOUVER, BC, February 28, 2008 — Xantrex Technology Inc. (TSX:XTX) announced today that Mr. Christopher Brothers has resigned as a director of Xantrex. Mr. Mossadiq S. Umedaly, Chairman of Xantrex said “The Board would like to thank Mr. Brothers for his significant and valuable contributions to Xantrex over the past eight years.”
Mr. Umedaly continued, “Xantrex’s Governance Committee is reviewing potential candidates for directors and expects to make announcements for appointment or election in the near future.”
Mr. Brothers commented, “I have enjoyed my time on the Xantrex Board assisting in setting its strategic direction and working to improve its operational effectiveness. I’m quite excited about Xantrex’s future prospects; however, given my increased obligations, I must step down as I am unable to dedicate the amount of time that Xantrex deserves.”
