Xantrex to showcase exciting 2007 portable and backup power lineup at CES

VANCOUVER, B.C., January 4, 2007 – Xantrex Technology Inc. (TSX:XTX) will showcase its 2007 lineup of leading-edge portable and backup power solutions at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world's largest annual tradeshow for consumer technology, January 8-11 in Las Vegas.

Xantrex continues to lead and innovate in the portable power category with sleek new designs and original features, including two new power packs; one with a built-in digital audio sound system, the other with an integrated solar panel that provides its own renewable power.

Understanding the importance for consumers to have reliable, convenient backup power and emergency preparedness solutions, Xantrex will further expand its product lineup with the PowerPanel – a unique portable backup power unit that lights the way to power and safety in the event of a blackout or storm.
