Xantrex introduces first renewable backup power system for the do-it-yourself market
Green goes mainstream with Xantrex PowerHub VANCOUVER, B.C., August 16, 2006 – Xantrex Technology Inc. (TSX:XTX) introduces the PowerHub 1800, an innovative rechargeable backup power system that collects and stores energy from the electrical grid and a range of renewable sources including solar panels and small wind turbines. The PowerHub can store enough power to support the energy needs of the average household without the need to continuously run a noisy fossil fuel based generator. Xantrex leveraged its extensive expertise in the design and manufacture of renewable power conversion equipment to create this ground breaking new product. The PowerHub allows home owners to install a regulatory approved renewable energy solution without requiring a licensed electrician to do the installation.
