Got a problem with my system.
Just fitted my first serious solar panel (125watt )and now my batterys are fully charged the controller is dumping extra power to my temp only dump load which is a duel filement halagen bulb from a car headlight.( so I can see it working )
I want to use 2000w air heaters and connected one to the diversion load + and - outputs but it just goes past the bulk setpoint on the controler which will just boil my batterys to death.

Can anyone help me with this problem please

Have you tried setting it to load Control, instead of Diversion? With PV, you don't need load diversion, that's only needed with wind, to keep turbine speeds down.
I think.

PS, and with Equalization enabled, it will bubble the batteries for a couple hours till the cycle finishes. Is it in an equalization cycle ?

Yes have tryed load control but no good for my setup.

I just want it to divert extra charge to a dump load like a heater.
I am running a hybrid system which needs diversion control
for solar and wind.

found out whats wrong in the end.

anyone reading this should understand 240v heaters don't work on 12v systems as a dump load.too much resistance.

I found on ebay a man that makes 12v immersion heaters and my one handles 800w at 12v.

cool.and I get hot water as well

stupidity lives on in us all for ever.

Here is a link

My question is how do you divert power from the PV array without discharging the battery bank? I'm using a C60 also.
Thanks,
David

If you setup the C60 as a diversion load it works the same for wind or solar.just dumps the exess voltage into the heater.

I have both and no problem s have arisen

I have a 800w 12v heater in a plastic cold water tank (15 gallons of water )at the back of the garage.

A solar panel needs no diversion load. The C60 can be configured for Solar, with no diversion.

Only wind or hydro needs diversion loads to keep the turbine loaded so it won't overspeed.

My next item to be getting is a voltage limiter for the wind turbine to stop it over spinning.

At this moment in time I have no idea where to start looking

any recommendations

What type of system do you have? I would not think that you need a limiter. I do not use one, and my average wind speeds are 30kmh with gusts into the high 90's. But I am picking up the C60 to run a small heater for the battery room since we only make it out to the location once a week. Might as well keep the room a little warm this winter.

Running a Whisper 100, current Xantrex Powerhub 1800 - to install 6000/12000 watt inverter and C60 with the Optional Digital Whisper Controller pannel next week. Or whenever it gets here from AZ.
