Hi,

I got a call from one of our customers and he said his system is not on. He has a XW6048 with control panel, MPPT charge controller and remote control for the inverter.

Last Saturday there was a thunderstorm and then it was when the system shut down.

Neither inverter, charge controller, and remote are turning on (and breakers are on). System is grounded.

Current battery voltage is 45VDC.

Before I go to check I would like to know what's going on.

Does anybody know?

Anything installed for lightning protection ?   Try disconnect PV & batteries & AC. wait 5 minutes, and connect battery, PV and AC, see if it wakes up?    @ 45V, batteries are pretty low, got a generator to charge them before they die?

Do what Mike suggested and next cycle breakers as well as disconnect the network cables and then repower. You are close to battery disconnect of around 44V so do as Mike says and recharge. Grounding helps but a power off of the XW "before the strike" is a better strategy for next time. Hope there is one! Good Luck

Correct low battery connect and disconnect have nothing to do with the CC but who knows how the CC is connected to the XW4024 battery? The CC battery connection could be downstream to a blown disconnect fuse or lightning damaged breaker. As in most cases there is not enough info and the OP does not come back for days, never tells what the problem was, or is too busy with dealing with loss of electricity.
