Would a energy monitor system with an internal XW shunt be useful?
It seems that a great deal of effort was put into making the XW an easy installation but for some reason the data of energy consumed is missing.

Thank-you for posting something helpful! I will give it a try on the next job in December. It would be funny if I went through hell getting them open and this is all this time.......

I have to have 2 meters in the TVA area. The way it is setup, you cant run a subpanel unless you buy an automatic transfer switch between grid and solar,otherwise the meter for generation doesnt show any generation, hence no pay for that part

Also, if you set the grid support voltage at 59v the inverter will try to maintain about 58v. I suggest you put the grid support voltage at 54v for a bank that rest at 52v, and 52v for a bank that rest at around 50v.

E.G. ...my battery bank rest at 50.7v after no charge for 8 hours, I have my grid support voltage set 52v. Your batteries will only take so much charge before the charge becomes un-useful.

my system will sell 95% of the solar..the rest is used to maintain the battery voltage

I have an XW 4548 with the XW 60-150 mppt

about every 6 months or 3 I need to do an equalize charge to break up the sulphation, but my batteries have been holding a good medium SG
